Using 1143 here, listening. My initial--first--- run of the 1143 code ran fine for several minutes, then I lost the TGs decoding audio. (I could see voice grants, but the receiver would move on after the grant) I resent the configuration (did not reload the software) and it has been fine since....now going on three hours. This is on the Cobb Regional Radio System, used by several counties just NW of Atlanta.

(This is on an older HP laptop that was updated from Win7 to WIn10....with a whopping two----USB ports.)

Stellar decoding here. 100% Phase II system (actually one of the first in the country - started as the Pierce Transit system which then morphed into the Pierce County SCWCS and then became part of the larger South Sound 911 system).

I have logs and recordings that attest how well the P25RX works on a Phase II system. It's running 24 hours a day monitoring/recording 1 talkgroup. My only beef was the USB issue but that has vanished with the addition of the watchdog/multiple unit. I make it a point to update to the latest firmware as soon as I get a notification that it has been posted to the device website.

I'm updating to 1422 as I'm typing this and my schedule is wide open over the next week to mess around with testing.

The P25 RX has been rock solid which can't be said for any other device that I have pressed into use for this type of work. SDR's, a SDS100, a Unication G5, a Pro 668. They all seem to develop issues that require me to fart around with them.

Anyone wants recordings or logs, let me know. Here's a days worth of audio from 12/31/20.
Thank you sir! Version 2021-01-03_1422 is a huge change, so I look forward to hearing what you observe with this one. I decided to revert a good chunk of code since the 12-15_1630 release. I've retained the LCD display code, some changes to interrupt/command handling, and some new code related to USB transfers for the I/Q plot, audio, etc.

I would definitely like to know if anyone else has a similar experience with a "write config" causing the issue to be resolved when running version _1143.

Just passed the 10 minute mark since rebooting.
Every call that SDRTrunk and Unitrunker logged was also decoded by the P25RX.

No issues with audio, logging, or recording.

Will come back and give an update if something develops while I'm working or just a general update later this evening.

Thank you! I'm listening to your Phase II-only mp3 recording of the South Sound 911 system. It sounds excellent!

Todd, so far 1422 has been solid on the PCWIN Phase II system I am monitoring !!! Been running now for about 15 minutes and has survived app and device restarts, tab changes, control channel changes, etc. I will report if there are any issues with this release - 2021-01-03_1422...

As good as it's going to get.

I think a LOT of people expect crystal clear audio when that is beyond our control as people listening on "consumer" (I hate to use that term for your receiver because it doesn't even belong in the same league as a Uniden or Whistler) grade receivers.

There are systems that have excellent technicians on both infrastructure and radio shop that strive for great audio and then there systems like the WSP system out here where it sounds like hot garbage.

@kinglou0,

It sounds excellent to me! Especially when you consider that there are 2 digital voice channels + a virtual control channel embedded inside of a single 12.5 kHz channel!

-edit, not to mention that the voice was then re-encoded into an mp3 file. Also, no drop-outs or "choppy audio". Great decode!

I loaded 01-03 1446 and could tell right away it was fixed. Looking at the steady RF AGC Gain plot being almost flat was the first clue.
Fifteen minutes in audio is great just as before. I will continue to monitor.
Excellent job Todd! Looking forward to that display.

Well, we've just passed 10 PM local out here on the wetside of Washington and with 1446, no issues to report at all.

Looked at what was logged by other apps and checked the outputted recordings. 100% with the random times I picked.

Flashing 2059 as soon as I'm finished here and will report back my results and if there were any issues sometime tomorrow afternoon. Additionally, I'm just going to let the P25RX just hit on any TG that comes up versus leaving it locked to a specific TG.

Hmm. I think I want one of these.

Do it. (y)

You only have to read through this thread to see the phenomenal support you get and at least the vibe I'm picking up is a fairly wide consensus that the P25RX is an awesome product. The extra digital modes added after the initial launch and what is coming in the future has made the P25RX one of the best purchases I've made in a real long time.

Some general observations on version 2021-01-03 2059:

The status LED's on the device don't match what is shown on the bottom right corner in the software. They seem to be correct on the device, but on the software they're either blank or showing poor or no signal.

When holding on a talkgroup, the Talk Group Log tab stops showing any more traffic once the talkgroup has been held.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm not seeing that here. Are you running with roaming enabled? If so, how do you have it configured? Not sure if it will help, but there are a couple of changes related to roaming in the latest available version 2021-01-04_0030.

No, roaming is not enabled. The biggest issue is that the device LED status indicates good signal (green), but on the software it will often drop to "NO SIG" on the bottom left of the software, with no LED's showing and no signal graph segments lit. Usually it will start working again after a time.

Give version 2021-01-04_0914 a try. If it still shows "NO SIG", let me know.

I'll give it a try.
After about two hours, seems to run okay, but when I held on a talkgroup, this is when I see the "NO SIG" message at the bottom left of the screen, and no signal bar graph or signal color indications. The LED's on the device indicate good signal with the flashing yellow talkgroup "hold" indication. Signal Insights tab shows a consistent solid green line.

I have not been able to reproduce this issue. What was the last version that worked for you? Do you see the normal scrolling of information in the console tab when the "NO SIG" is displayed? Is it possible that the "Enter Commands" option in the console was selected? This will cause what you are describing.
