I've just added a new system into my P25RX, but I am having trouble decoding the voice grants. I see this in the P25RX Log

SYS_INFO wacn 0x00001 sys_id 0x001 nac 0x000 cc_freq 162.612500 $
$TDMA VOICE GRANT_02, freq 163.362500, tgroup: 15, slot: 1

$TDMA need wacn, sys_id, and nac before P2 can decode. please wait.

The log then appears to go back to the control channel. I can successfully decode this system on my SDS100. I suspect the WACN, SysID and NAC values might have something to do with this, but I am unsure. Those are the values that my SDS100 decodes as well.

P25RX works on the MPSCS no sweat, so I don't think I have a hardware problem. I've also tried a couple of different firmware versions without success.

Any thoughts? I'll cross post this to the bluetailscanners board as well.

i may have the terminology wrong, but I think it may need to "learn" the system first to gather the info to decode the scramble. I know the Micro has a learn mode.

What system are you trying to monitor? 162.612500 in Michigan shows to be a statewide FBI. Is it a control channel for a trunked system or are you trying to monitor just that one frequency?

I haven't added any new systems to any of my bluetails in a while but I seem to recall on the i & ii models you just put in the control channel frequency and it does the rest. If you select "allow unknown talkgroup" on the main config screen it should populate the tg editor as they are found.

Seems pretty obvious that a NAC value of zero is causing the issue. The logic is waiting for that value to be populated (non-zero).

I forgot to update this. The system is flip flopping between a NAC of 0 and a NAC of 791. I'm confident it won't work on the P25RX until they iron out some of the issues.

is this something in the US or across the border in Canada ?
Please link us to the RRDB for this system, since the two posted frequencies are US Federal (NTIA) and Canadian Frequencies tend to not use 12.5 khz
