P7100 programming question

Good morning,

Perhaps this was answered before, and if so, I apologize. Can you WRITE programming to a P7100 (or any Harris radio for that matter) using an older version of RPM (10b, for example, which I have) than the radio was last programmed with (r14c05)? My understanding is that errors occur when you read them using older software. I also have a P5400 to get programmed but don't have the cable at the moment so that's on hold.

You can, but you need to downgrade the firmware to something that works with 10B, like R02A26. I would just use RPM R14C05 and be done with it.
