I will be staying at the Long Wharf Marriott soon and was wondering if anyone had a good p96 file for Boston they would share with me.

Or could someone point me to a Boston p96 file on the web?

E-mail .p96 file to n4rvr@comcast.net. Thanks in advance!

I can't help you since I don't have a Pro 96, but if you go to www.scancapecod.net and register for the message boards you will find a bunch of people that probably can help you. A lot of the regulars on that board have Pro96s and will probably be happy to share them with you.

Hello,

I just got a Pro-96 a few weeks ago and made a P96 file for Metro Boston that has most stuff.
It is not finished but does have Boston Public Safety/EMS, various Intercity, and some Transport stuff (Massport). It also has Public Safety frequencies around Boston.

Thanks, Eric. Aren't you doing the scanner forum with the Scanner Scum at Kulpsville this year? Give them my regards.

Here is a P96 file I made. Banks 0 & 1 are finished. I left banks 2 & 3 with no ID's. Hope it works. I made it months ago so some of the freq's and ID's may have changed.

Can one of you Boston types help this poor Marylander who's going to be at the Dem. Convention for two, long weeks shortly? Looking for good freqs (including trunked, I have a Pro-96), for PD and Fire, particularly ones that would be used during major fire/ems/hazmat incidents and/or significant demonstrations.

Tnx,

Hello,

I posted some information on this thread.
http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=12053

For the 4th of July (a big event) there was alot of activity on zone 5 of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts trunked system. They used a "Unified Command Center" which used a couple of SOPS talkgroups. Media reports indicate they will have a unified command center for the DNC as well.

With all the security and road closures it appears there will be a bunch of local, state, federal, and transportation frequencies active.
