Thank you very much! Is Trooper 8 a 407 as well?

The two spares had been a Bell 206L-3 and a Bell 407. Last time I checked the FAA database, it was N173P and N175P. I don't know which one is 7 and which one is 8, though. I don't remember which one has a noisier background, but the 206 would likely have more background noise than the 407. Troopers 1-6 all have matching N numbers like Trooper 9 (N871ST, N872ST, etc)

I was looking around at N173P, and it is for sale. N175P is reserved by someone else. So, it looks like N877ST (Trooper 7) is the only rotorwing spare. But thank you very much!

I just heard testing on the Harrison City West Tower on Talkgroup ID 547. Someone was saying that the antenna sounded good and that they tried another tower before.

I've got a lot of hits on F TAC 1 today...I assume it's the Trump rally. I hear command post ID'ing. At one point, there was an analog radio patched in and it had an MDC tail. According to Unitrunker, all transmissions are patched in (no radio ID decoding). Pretty bad audio with some awkward silence at the end of the tx.

According to the channel plan for the WPTZ795 license, there should also be a site at the PSP Belmont barracks (PHIL02), using the following frequencies:

773.04375
774.08125
774.79375

That is correct. It was included in the significant coverage filing they made with the FCC, but was never brought online.

Hmm, The filing document definitely indicates it's operational, even shows on the coverage area map..

Well, it's easy to enter a few lines in a spreadsheet and put a dot on a map...question is, is the site REALLY online. Speculation that the PSP have included that site because of the high population in the city, which would ensure that they've achieved the mandated 2/3 of the state's population in order to retain the SL license.

Does anybody know what is up with the Williamsport site? I used to hear it full scale at my house and now I get absolutely nothing. It's been this way for months now. I get the CC from the Wilkes-Barre site which is a lot further away so I'm not sure what the issue is especially since the Williamsport site is only about 8-10 miles line of sight to my antenna. (I can walk out my front door and see the tower.)

Just heard trooper 5 testing a newly installed P-25 radio in the helo. I wonder how long it will be before they go encrypted.

I hope they don't go encrypted... But thank you for the heads up!

PHIL02 is now online, but as part of the STARNet P25 system, not the Harris system.

Eventually all Harris sites on the current 700MHz P25 Air-Ground system will be converted to ASTRO 25 sites, and air-ground ops will be fully integrated with the STARNet P25 system.

I assume that's what they've done with the Williamsport site since that doesn't seem to be online anymore? But the next closest STARNet P25 site is Shade Mtn in Snyder County. There is nothing in the Williamsport area.

What site were you hearing this from?

So are they going to stay Phase 1 or are they moving to Phase 2?
