There looked to be an ISSI via IP gateway at the back of a Somerset EMA vehicle. It had various connection means. Plus, the City of Pittsburgh Command Post had a couple ISSI patches shown.
just because there are channels on displays showing ISSI doesn't mean it is the IP Gateway. The IP Gateway sits on the Core for ICORRS at Greensburg, and the Core for Star*Net in Harrisburg. All that was in the field was Channels in a radio. Somerset may have had one of their field consoles that hooks via VPN back to their console site at Somerset. There looked to be an ISSI via IP gateway at the back of a Somerset EMA vehicle. I've came across sevral unlisted TGID's for PennDOT, but most of the time they flip to random channels and ask "Are you on here?"New talkgroup for PennDot - I received several conversations on TG 11889 today. Based on the UIDs they were PennDot vehicles from D12-4 Washington Co. I could not really determine what they were using it for. It may have been a couple of foreman discussing truck repairs, but I am not sure. This TG is not in the RR Starnet database.
Yep they do pop up everywhere. Are you posting them so we can try to ID them?I've came across sevral unlisted TGID's for PennDOT, but most of the time they flip to random channels and ask "Are you on here?"

BTW 11889 is not in the TG research list either, but it might be D12 Survey Crew based on the TG #s that surround it in the list.

And.....This comment, by the way...so true.
Even with the hundreds of talkgroups and numerous simplex channels PennDOT has, they were still assigning one of the 8TAC direct channels as a working channel for a road crew the other day. The foreman had to explain to the crew how to find the channel in the radio.
I've found with PennDOT, during the plowing season, they bring on lots of temp drivers. I've heard lots of swearing and very lewd stories.And.....
They scream into the mic. Thank god for Paul's insight to give us the -3 level adjustment. All of my PennDot TGs are set to -3 !!!

Yes, we had a remote console deployed to demonstrate its capabilities to other entities from ICORRS and PA-STARNet who were participating in the drill. It is a duplicate of our dispatch center console, just in a mobile package with VPN connectivity to our system as Tony mentioned.Somerset may have had one of their field consoles that hooks via VPN back to their console site at Somerset.
