• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Has anyone heard any word about Warren co 911 switching? I remember it was discussed here previously but haven't seen anything since. I had heard through the grape vine that they were having problems with depts being able to afford new radios and that since they are not the primary users they could be getting denials if the channels are all in use which would delay emergency dispatch. Can anyone confirm?

I'm picking something on talkgroup 10124 in Eastern Allegheny County. I'm not sure what it is just yet though. Would any of you happen to have a list of what talkgroups are what?

Looks like a CC on 858.5625 this afternoon but too weak for a decode at my location. Maybe someone closer can check it out.

I got a decode from NE of Mechanicsburg...not super strong, but good enough. Getting ready to head east. After I get home, I will look at the data and post what I got. Based on the neighbors, I'm gonna guess the site is Carlisle or Neville area.
