It's appears that the TG's were assigned by county in alphabetical order A B C
Adams could be 11002
Allegheny 11008
Beaver 11028
Bedford 11031
Blair 11047
Cambria 11083
Crawford 11154
Cumberland 11162
Dauphin 11169
Erie 11372
Fayette 11381
Franklin 11443
Greene 11456
Lancaster 11500
Lawrence 11508
Lebanon 11512
...
Perry 11597
...
Tunnel 11696
...
Venango 11708
Warren 11715
Washington 11729
Westmoreland 11754
York 11765

With the Statewide and District Wide TG's smattered about in between.
My thoughts thus far.. Going to the bank.. :giggle:
I certainly think you are on to something. Do you have the entire list of these starting points? I would love to see it.

Awesome.. thank you for the template. Makes some sense.

Thank You! (y)
Be mindful that there is lots of wiggle room for those counties to move up or down on the TG range. Some do seem to match up correctly, There are areas (and large gaps) that don't match this theoretical list as well.. Time will tell if this is of much use.. (The PSP template evolved from a very similar rough draft and that is/was 100% encrypted) :ROFLMAO: There is hope..

Regarding the PGC talkgroups: did the term "Talkaround" that's being used in the database and wiki come from an official source, or did someone here start using that terminology to describe them?

The NE guys are referring to those talkgroups as "Car to Car". "Talkaround" is a term historically used when bypassing a conventional repeater, which entails operating in simplex mode on the repeater output frequency (talking around the repeater).

The SE units have referred to 12058 as "SE Region Talkaround" (Their exact words). When it first became active it was used by guys cleaning up SGL grounds/maintenance, (mowing, trimming brush and trees). it now just seems to be used as a private talk ch among several SE units.. Nothing OFFICIAL. and not "Car to Car" :rolleyes:So that's the source..;)but curious about what's in your inbox. :ROFLMAO: Maybe they didn't get the memo

I compared to what I have (much less than you) but everything agrees. I see no conflicts with my list.

So is it safe to say the site has been renumbered and we can just change site 48 to site 3 and add the 1.107 neighbor?

Is this a submission or speculation? Also it seems the terminology is stockpile or garage, one or the other. Would the shed be a stockpile?

Submission.....It's what I monitored--- Have no idea on terminology.... Penn Dot Employees that work there and the locals for the 35 years I have lived here call it Shed although the Sheds have been demolished for a few years.... Salt pile, trucks, loaders, and shack. Open year round and its where the maintenance crew works out of.....

It appears that several stockpiles may share a channel. In my area 12-1, stockpile 17 crossroads is part of the #19 Big Six Shed.
Same goes for #20 and#21 Summit Mt and Dinner Bell.

Glenn-

Quite possible- however I didn't hear anyone from the DinnerBell shed on the channel during the storm the other night.
