I wonder about PSP as well. Monitoring BRAD31\BRAD41 I've picked everything BUT 10188 Towanda. I am currently parked on 10135 Coudersport, which is western Tioga. I've also gotten 10138 Mansfield. I have received PGC talking to Dallas as well.

And for anyone keeping track of RID's, the ones i'm getting while parked on 10135 are 83, 1201474, and 1200577.
What are you trying to get on the psp talkgroups? they are full time encrypted and strapped on equipment.

Sounds like he is trying to determine which barracks have cut over to the new system. PSP Towanda is right smack in between BRAD31 and BRAD41, but he is not observing any activity from them on either site.

They are encrypted, as is 12043, which is in the wiki as channel 2 (PGC) but was referred to by 12042 as channel 3. For the time being i just want to see who pops in there.

12042 is PGC NE Dispatch. 12043 is PGC NE Dispatch 2 listed as a secure. Not sure if the E is user-enabled.

I was listening to 12042 PGC NE Dispatch. They told a ranger to switch to channel 3. My Wildcard then picked up 12043 which was encrypted. And both RID's were encrypted. It does say PGC NE Dispatch 2 in the WIKI.

FWIW,
Dispatch 2 or Secure=E
E is apparently user selected. I've heard units in the clear and switch while conversation was in progress..
I doesn't appear to be strapped E, Same observations on the "Admin Talkaround" TG's
Te for the RR DB Mode

Channel names and radio channels don't always line up. 12042 might be channel 2 in the radio because channel 1 is Statewide. The position in the radio doesn't designate channel name.

12042 PGC NE Dallas Dispatch is fine.
12043 PGC NE Dispatch 2 ENC User Selectable is what the dispatcher referred as channel 3. There could be a number of reasons for that. I'll keep monitoring and see if she says it again.

Does anyone know if the new system will simulcast to the old vhf repeaters for the dcnr? The open sky system was terrible and I know on some fires we would resort to the old vhf system was just curious if the decided to still make use of the old repeaters and simulcast

I doubt anyone here knows with absolute certainty what their plans are, however I would venture a guess that since the majority of the STARNet sites are VHF themselves, that there wouldn't be a whole lot of reason to keep the DCNR VHF repeaters on the air for too much longer. You may see a link between them and the P25 system during a transition phase, but perhaps not too long beyond that.

If someone could check out MCKE90 at some point, I am curious if that was ever brought online earlier in the process and maybe missed. It would provide coverage into Warren County and so I would think it would be online for that more than for the PSP migration (since PSP Kane is Troop C which is last to migrate, officially).

License update for TIOG42, Mill Run Road, Elk Township PA (TIOGA), removing one freq and adding two

If anyone is able, it might not hurt to go hunting for all three of the Tioga County sites. Since they brought Bodine Mtn online, they may have just decided to start working through the remaining sites up north.

TIOG03 - Westfield
41.83494, -77.45719
WRBY876
152.8925
WQUX223
154.65 MO8
158.7675 MO8
159.075 MO8

TIOG06 - Mansfield
41.84749, -77.15638
WRBY876
153.725
WQVF377
154.68
155.5275
155.79

One or both could have NTIA or other VHF specialty spectrum involved, too, don't forget.

I check TIOG06 daily as I did LYC015. Will try to get over that way in the near future. In the meantime, I'm still getting 10135 PSP Coudrsprt constantly on BRAD31 and BRAD41. And TIOG06 153.725 is a shared frequency with BRAD31. While trying to analyzing TIOG06 with Pro96com and BRAD31 being active with 10135 I get a lot of noise.

This report is bogus. I love how they call the it an "Open Standard P25 System" however are bucking at every manufacturer that isn't the big M trying to get radios approved for use on the system. I know for certain of one manufacturer that has been trying for months to get a radio approved that has passed all federal DOJ encryption standards and is in use by Federal Government law enforcement, however the state wont approve for use on the new "Open Standard" system. This should be interesting to see how it plays out and if it falls back into the same rut as the last system, just different frequency band.

No luck on TIOG06 but got a little more on LYCO15. The NAC is 947. And it shows an alternate CC and affiliates. I apologize for the crudity. And with a better signal I might have gotten other affiliates.

Please submit your findings, that is the only reliable way to ensure the info makes it into the database where it belongs. Us admins hate to sound like broken records reminding people to submit, but it's very easy for things to get lost in a huge thread like this one. Thanks.

I second this request. However, I also made the update since I happened to see it in a timely manner. But, yeah, send the new info via database submission. You can also talk about it here, but don't assume updates will get entered just because of forum discussion.
