It looks like there are 16 VHF sites to go in the northcentral area.

Speaking of North Central, PGC appears to be dispatching to Tioga via 113 from AVIS Dispatch. Three RID's I listen to are 1230189, 1230190, and 1230192. I have entered 1230192 in the wiki as Unit 338. The locations described have been in Tioga. they are all in the 3xx range.

Additionally, I am getting constant Data Transfers with RID 1783078. This has been shown associated with DOT District 3-7 Tioga(Wellsboro) on TG 11679, which is in the wiki.

And for those who enjoy puzzling over TGID's, I keep getting a 30025 along with RID 1202224. The wiki displays 30025 as ENC LANCE33. The 1202224 is likely a P5 PSP Unit and is also shown with 10188 PSP Towanda. This, like PENNDot, is usually a Data Transfer. The P5 units seem to be in the 12022xx range and I have entered a couple of them.

As near as I can tell, Tioga is still offline. BRAD31(113) is not showing any new sites.

Tioga has (had?) three warden districts. My data is getting long in the tooth now, but they used to be 337 (NW Tioga), 338 (E Tioga), 339 (SW Tioga). Lycoming also has (had) three districts: 327 (W Lyco), 328 (C Lyco), 329 (E Lyco).

An older map I had created is here in the forum: PA Game Commission Units

The wiki has a newer map with fewer warden numbers identified since they may have changed when the boundaries changed:

Given all the info compiled in the wiki for the P25, I suppose someone could update the map in the wiki if they felt so inclined.

Thanks for the map. I kinda had 338 pegged for East Tioga. And couldn't figure out how to enter it in the new map. There was an incident along the intersection of 287 and 184 that they were dispatched to. Couldn't tell if it was Southeast Tioga or Northeast Lycoming. I am getting 515 and 516 from Bradford County, as I should, but not 517. 517 is probably dispatched from BRAD41(114) which I am having difficulty receiving(foliage).

I also picked up a radio maintenance RID, 1230182, that I have entered in the wiki. That too appears to have been from PGC NC Avis. That I have entered into the wiki as well.

I am getting a number o Alpha, Beta, and Charlies as well.

The call sign that are a number followed by a letter (eg 328A, 523B, etc) are deputy wardens for the district. The number of deputies varies by district.

If there is a 517 unit active, you could hear it if there are other units on the air affiliated with your closest tower. It all just depends on radio affiliations whether you are going to hear traffic on a particular talkgroup.

Update -- Wiki has 20xxx TG's and 262xxxx RID's as Warren County Public Safety, what's up with them having that much traffic on a site in south-central PA?

TG 20014 active today on site 1.95

You may also start hearing PGC NC units for Centre, Union, and southern Clinton, as well, if they have begun migrating that region. The rest of the region has sketchy to no radio coverage right now until they finish the rest of the tower sites later this year.

I get PGC from all over. A lot of the deputies are from other areas. I,m still on the affiliation learning curve. The other night I got PSP from all over the state. Some were EMRG instead of ENC.

But anyway, I just returned from Mansfield. On a hill, near the Rte 6 Rte 15 interchange. On Tiog03\06\42 - no signal. On BRAD31 and LYCO15 I got S and T. Picked up 10188 PSP Towanda on BRAD31 which shows that it is in the Mansfield coverage area. Probably would have gotten something on LYCO15 had I hung around longer.

I don't have time to play with editing the old map, but I did start a spreadsheet that I converted to a wiki table and added here:

This is from the same PASDA data that the map was generated with. I added a column for radio callsigns and a column with a written description of the district coverage area. Anyone should feel free to help flesh out the data here. Radio calls with question marks are unconfirmed. The NC and SC underwent some consolidations and changes to district boundaries. I think the same warden covers Philly and eastern Montco nowadays even though they are still listed as two districts. I have only completed NC/SC/NE/SE.

PAGC (PGC) South Central TalkGroups were in full use over the 4th of July Weekend.

The SC Dispatcher also learned how to do local Patches to all 12 SC PAGC TG

PGC SC Common
PGC SC Disp. 1
PGC SC DISP 2
PGC SC REG T/A
PGC SC LE TAC 1
PGC SC LE TAC 2
PGC SC LE Spare
PGC SC FIRE 1
PGC SC FIRE 2
PGC SC FIRE 3

PGC SC Spare

Most traffic was located at the Gettysburg Memorial where local armed residents went to protect the area from a reported Antifa incident.

most traffic I can ever recall from the PGC SC region TG....

Hmm...has PGC changed their talkgroup names three times now? Do you have TGIDs to go with these names? They're a little different than what's in the database which is based on previously submitted info.

I suppose some of those names that don't match the database could be from the remaining pool of unknown PGC talkgroups.

Any clue what frequencies WEST03 is using? I found a license that shows 2 800MHz frequencies, but neither of them shows as a control channel

PGC and PennDOT have been very quiet in Erie County lately. I have heard both in the past, but never very busy. Just seems less so now. I think I have my favorite list set up right, since I have heard things in the past. Has anything changed I'm not aware of?

WEST03 is a subsite of the Allegheny Region Simulcast (Site 61). Those 800 MHz frequencies are from the OpenSky system.

Regarding PGC operations...it seems they may have a long term plan to consolidate dispatching? There is a hiring notice for a "Centralized Dispatch Operations Manager" position. Centralized Dispatch Operations Manager - Game Commission Only

One line caught my eye:

Develops and coordinates long-range planning, strategic plans, capital improvements, and general operations to keep the communication center and its services a "State of the Art" service to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, user agencies and Commonwealth residents.

I wonder if they are working toward a centralized dispatch option for PGC, PFBC, DCNR, etc. Seems like that would make too much sense.

I'm hearing each agency about once a day. Seeems like they should be busier. Wonder if they are still using old radios also?

I also noticed I'm only getting full signal on one of the multiple Erie sites. The other sites show only no or minimal signal. So, can you receive all transmissions on this system if only one site has a strong signal?

You're only going to hear whatever talkgroups are active at any given site at any given point in time.

OK, I would think I would get pretty good reception on most if not all Erie sites? Doesn't look to be happening though.
