Forgive my ignorance on this, but I should be hearing an almost constant control channel, right? I live in Sharon and have trouble receiving the Findley Twp site reliably. I'd like to get this one.

I also noticed there are some state frequencies licensed in Sharpsville in the 851 Mhz range. I do hear data on those regularly. Any ideas?

That's the old OpenSky system, unrelated to the new P25 system.

Close, but wrong side of the road. Actual location of Site 147 Hermitage (MERC33) is 41.23665, -80.4337

Thanks for the help. I’m new to this. I just used an old analog scanner to try to find the active frequency. I haven’t hear anything at all in the 161. Range. Is it possible that it’s not “online” at the moment?

What's the best way to try to pin down the control channel and other frequencies at that site?

Anybody want to seek out these two locations to see if they are on the air, yet? Based on the Williamsport neighbor list I got last week, I'll say Potter should be. Rocky Grove had previously been reported as appearing as on offline neighbor to WEST03. These are both air-ground sites.

It's common for a new site in testing to be reported online by neighbors, but not actually be on air, monitor-able at the moment, tests going on, dummy loads in use, ect...

Rocky Grove is still on the air with NAC: 1B. Still showing as the air to ground site.

I apologize for another newbie question. I've been monitoring the Grindstone site in Lawrence County with my new SDS100. I can see that I'm receiving signals, but have heard absolutely 0 traffic. I have the P25 NAC search on, as well as TGID search on. Am I doing something wrong, or is there just no traffic on this site yet? TIA.
