I heard from Pace Bus that there is a new para-transit carrier for the North Cook area and that they use CB radio. Since I ride them often I want to confirm this or find out the actual frequencies they use.

I'd be surprised if they used CB as their main method of communications. Have you seen a CB radio inside any of their buses?

Maybe they use it just to keep tabs on traffic?

Some of the newer scanners have CB as a service search where you can scan through all the channels while you're riding the bus to see if you hear any bus related activity.

Agreed! For the large area a Pace paratransit provider has to cover, CB wouldn't seem to be a viable choice.
