Guys,

Can some one confirm they can hear this in Utah County.
In Payson it is causing me some issues.

Scanner is most important, but I can hear it on my cordless phones(2.4ghz)
Anything from 154-155.5 is almost useless.

I dont think paging is licensed in 154 area and FCC shows nothing for paging on that freq.
I am going to drive around and see if I can find a new tower. This just started maybe 3 or 4 days ago.

154.46375
154.47125

Could you post an audio clip of the offending signal?

I did a geosearch for Utah and Juab counties on the FCC website,

License Search - Advanced License Search

154.445-154.49, and found nothing which looks like it could account account for your problem.

When you drive around the area, try removing the antenna from your receiver when you think you might be right on top of it.

You got me thinking about it.

From what I can tell, its 1200 baud, POCSAG but it is not normal paging.
example:

5/23/2009 4:38 PM CH1 1200 1206744 0 (Alpha) <EOT>FA0&Y@$U<ACK>

5/23/2009 4:40 PM CH1 1200 1206744 0 (Num ) 4036016440

A lot of restaurants and stores have paging systems (example some restaurants give you a hockey puck thing which is a pager that tells you when your table is ready also it is used in some stores).

Most of these systems I have spotted are in the UHF 467.MHz area and almost are always unlicensed.

This is definitely paging, it doesn't sound like telemetry data to me.

Any new stores open up anywhere near by? Those numbers could be Item numbers or something weird.
