If anyone has experience programming a SPOK pager to receive page out calls for fire, I would really appreciate your help 😊. Tried looking around but could not find any information.

I'm specifically looking for the programming codes for Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon Fire. I was searching around but could not find them. I could only find the dispatch frequency. I also wanted to know if there are only 8 codes you can program since the pager I have currently shows 8, or do I need a software to program more?

Is there a page where I can find them? Also which pager would be able to fit those CAP codes?

I'm here a lot
Given that the CAP code would start with the Station numbers, the Wiki page here may be of a little bit of help.

This is only a guess but, perhaps the District Chief's code may be 101108, 201207, 303303

I have no experience with pagers and programming them. I'm just trying to figure this out logically.

You can connect the scanner to your computer and use a software program PDW and log the cap codes you see from pages, it will take awhile to collect them all, or perhaps you only want certain ones. It works best with a discriminator tap on the scanner, or IF out. This is how I got the list for the large FD/EMS departments in my area.

First he would need to know if it is POCSAG or FLEX, also in my area the CAP codes have no connection to the unit ID. Typically, from my experience each District has a shared CAP code, then each station has a shared CAP code, after that each Chief would have one as does special units like HazMat, swift water rescues, Coroner, etc. It's not unusual for a mid to large size agency to have 100+ CAP codes. From what I found, there is no wildcard CAP code.

I use an Apollo AL-924L pager which is specific to the frequency range used by the agency for the pagers (in my case VHF 152-162MHz), and it only allows me to program 8 cap codes.

If you have a discriminator tap you can try these. They use the sound card to decode. There should be a way to pass SDR audio to the programs. The last link is for using a SDR.

Make sure it's a POCSAG pager and 512 baud. If you want Mississauga accidents, 1000001 will work. Its bylaw, as for trucks and cars here is a guide for you. A CAP code is 7 digits, so to get Mississauga Pumper 101, it would be 1010001. For Arial 101, it would be 1010003. For Rescue truck 101 it would be 1010002.

Pumpers are 0001
Rescue are 0002
Arial are 0003
Cars are 0004

Hope this helps. Caledon, Brampton and Mississauga all do the same.
