Does anyone know of any services paid or free that allows for alerts to be sent to your phone when there is activity on a scanner? I currently have Broadcastify premium but doesn't look like they offer anything like that. I also saw IPN (Incident Page Network) offers some services but seems pricey and doesn't look like it includes every single police or fire call. Would like to get a notification when my local fire department gets paged out but haven't found anything yet. I did see the Broadcastify calls section but more so looking for something that sends an alert to my phone. Thanks!

Do you have a scanner or just use online feeds?

Check if your dept uses Pulse Point. Don't think you can set individual depts. but this will alert you to activity based on the county if they are participating.

Is there a feed online that includes your local fd? If so, wonder if two tone detect could be configured to use the live feed audio.

Not a great option for you but it is a start. Scanner Radio app has alerts you can set to custom settings. I assume most of the apps have this feature. I am not sure all the parameters you can set alerts for but something to looks into.

I don't believe the fire department in question would use Pulse Point since they're a pretty small town & department. And yes, there is an online broadcastify feed that includes the local fire department. I was reading some info about Two Tone detect and I thought the software/service went end of life as I read from another forum member, but not 100% sure. I checked their website but doesn't seem like it's an active thing anymore..

I have an iPhone and have always used the Scanner Radio iOS app but doesn't look like that app specifically allows for custom alerts. I'll have to look around in the iOS App Store to see if there are other scanner apps that might support custom notifications.

Two Tone Detect would work if you can find a download for it. It may be old and unsupported but it does the job. You'll just need an audio source for the dispatch channel and tones to feed the program. I haven't used it in almost a decade but I vaguely remember some issues with getting the email part working. Before everyone had fire pagers with voice recording on them I set it up at my department to send a mp3 mms of the first 30 or 45 seconds of a fire call to everyones phones. I probably have a copy of it on one of my really old radio programming computers. I'll see if I can dig it up if you can't find it elsewhere.

Edit: just noticed this thread. Looks like it will work.
