i will like to know if u know the Alert tone for Levy County FL FD for fire pager not the PL tone the alert tone
As far as I can tell, the paging tones are sent over the trunked system. Whether this is just a rebroadcast or a "patch-in" from a conventional system, I have no idea. I DO know that when tuning into one local conventional frequency (I believe it's 154.430 - Fire / EMS Dispatch (Simulcast from TRS)), I can also hear the fire paging tones. This is the frequency I put into my BCD396XT while in Fire Tone-Out mode to capture / identify the tones that are being used. So far it has worked very well for me.

I am compiling a list of tones. Still need to figure out which tones correspond to which stations.

I would love to get inside of my local radio system for a couple months, become an intern or something, see how everything works. That would be very cool.

Hope this helps.[/QUOTE]

Better to ask this in the Florida forum. See what it says in the description for this forum? 73 (best regards) Mike

joey you might want to present your list in the Florida forum - perhaps someone knows this information already, and it's just never been asked
