Hello all,

I am looking for individuals who currently listen to scanners in the DFW area who would like to make extra money emailing working fires and water damages to our team.

Please PM me if you are interested, I have learned there a lot of people out there who already listen to scanners all day....why not make some extra money by sending us the addresses.

Thanks!

The OP does not indicate who he represents or why he needs this. This is the exact kind of thing that leads to encryption. If you enjoy your scanner, I recommend you stay away from this.

In this particular case, given the specific information being asked for, it's not all that hard to figure out the purpose -- everything isn't a criminal enterprise....

This is a legitimate thing. I met with Jeff yesterday.

It doesn't take a crime to convince PD and FD chiefs to flip the switch. Many are just waiting for a good reason. Just my $.02. Look at what happened in DC. Burglars listing to streamed PD on their phones. PD encrypted forever. I have listened to them for 30 years. My opinion is any thing we can do to lesson the progression of 'E' is a good thing.

There's no money in it, at least not in terms of a per hour or per page basis, but if you want a legit company that does this sort of thing go to :: IPN :: Nationwide Fire & Police Incident Notification and sign up to be a dispatcher there. The OP here does strike me as a bit odd.

Job description probably goes something like this "Just listen to the scanner from midnight to three AM, and call (insert phone number) if you hear the cops get sent to this address."

Kinda like a craigslist ad that reads, "Looking for experienced driver to park out front of bank, ready to leave on second's notice."

Yeah, exactly.. This is a rather strange posting. IPN is a highly trusted and reliable source, it's always interesting to see the pages from other Dispatchers and then see it on the news the next day. Go with IPN..

I am sure the OP represents a restoration company. I group those individuals with ambulance chasers and shysters. Let those people struck by misfortune choose, their providers on their own timeline.
