I have a pro-96 and programmed PBSO talk groups to it. I have both the digital
and analog talk groups in the same bank. When i am listening to the bank i have
not been able to hear anything on the digital talk groups and sometimes the
scanner stops on one of the analog TGs and it works fine and then sometimes it
stops on the TG and i dont hear anything.

any suggestions on what to do to fix it

Hello James

I listen to PBSO/ F/R for years now on my 96. Did you change the settings when they rebanded? Also, I've never heard digital transmissions on the county system except when they patch into Boynton, Delray or Boca. I can send you my .p96 file if you want. I have a dedicated group each for SO, F/R, Boynton, Delray, Boca and Just the local county districts for South & South Central districts. (I live in Delray and work in Boca)

All of the transmissions on the digital TG's on Site 1 are encrypted full time for all users.
No need to attempt to listen to then as you will hear nothing as I have the TG's strapped only for encryption. No clear transmissions are allowed by any user.

Depends on what you are using as an antenna. If it is a roof mounted yagi, possibly. If it is the antenna on the scanner and your not at a decent altitude, I highly doubt it.

Those 3 systems do not roam digital onto the simulcast, so you will never hear their digital traffic on the County's system.

Doubt you will hear them with any great regularity or any decent quality, especially Boca and Delray.

So you posted the same question on the Yahoo SEFlorida group and expected a different answer? I told you that that all run encryption and your scanner, even though it is digital, cannot decrypt the DES/OFB encryption and I have all of the talk-groups strapped for encryption only 100% of the time.

Mark...any word on the system going digital? I'm of the "if it aint borke don't fx it" era. Last time I talked with on the PBSO guys, he was using a MCS2000 which is analog only, so I could imagine the cost of upgrading all the subscriber units.

There are plans in the making, but not at liberty to give out any details.
