Update on this change:
Motorola was working on the Spartanburg sites today, with several agencies suffering from radio problems earlier in the day, One dispatcher for Spartanburg County, in response to a question from a police officer about the problems, said "there's someone here in the back trying to cause us problems," referring to technicians at the communications center working on equipment.
As of now, an active control channel exists on 868.7000, advertising site #19. 860.9375 is now quiet, with no control channel. I can't find a control channel frequency for Site 36, so I suspect it's no longer broadcasting.
I suspect that Site 19 Fairforest and Site 36 Stone Station have been combined into a simulcast system, with both sites transmitting this new control channel on 868.7000.
The Spartanburg County SD live scanner feed will be offline until sometime tomorrow, when I can get to the radio and reprogram the system frequencies. I plan to wait until next week to update the database entries to make sure that the changes are permanent.
If you listen to these sites in Spartanburg, you may need to reprogram your radios.
More details as I get them....
