@GearJammersc said in another thread that he thinks 51733 is Logisticare Ambulance Service. I had theorized that it might be LifeGuard Ambulance Service.

There are new TGs in the Greenville and Laurens areas as well. I have recordings but haven't had time to listen through them yet

With help from Noah, we have put together a list of talkgroup ranges for Palmetto 800. The link to the wiki page with the list is here: Palmetto 800 Talkgroup Ranges - The RadioReference Wiki

In working with these ranges this morning, I note that there is a logical pattern to the talkgroup assignments.

The creator of the list broke the state into three regions - Coastal (1-14999), Mid State (20001-34999) and Upper State (40001-54999). There also ranges for Georgia (55001-59999) and North Carolina (60001-64999).

Within these ranges, there is a pattern - Interoperability talkgroups are first, followed by a block of 500 for each county in the region listed in alphabetical order), followed by a block for state agencies broken into blocks of 100 talkgroups.

Within the three regional blocks for state agencies, there is a logical arrangement to the lists. We're missing, or there may not exist, assigned talkgroups in each of the state agency ranges, but the pattern is clear.

This should make narrowing down active but unidentified talkgroups at least to a specific agency easier.

There are also logical groupings to several of the county blocks of 500. I haven't gotten that granular yet on the list, but anyone is able to edit wiki pages, so feel free to add information as you see fit. It seems clear that each county is left to designate the assignment of groups within their blocks.

EMS and ESD are the same agency essentially, ESD is correct for the latter talkgroups, but the talkgroup 25344 is not correct. I'm not sure which agency that is for.

25344 is in the Orangeburg County range and is probably not correct. It might be a typo, and should be 25544?

I have no idea what DSNT is.

I remember that Richland Co has a "Media" channel likely designation for the PIO (Public Information Officer) and staff. So that should probably just say "Media" and omit the ENN?

Comm might mean Command, Common or Communications.

Back in the old Palmetto 800 days, the media channel was used by the PIO to communicate information to the media. He would make an announcement for everyone to standby, then would give a statement, then allow media outlets (WIS, WLTX, etc) to ask questions via radio. So apparently, at least at that time, the media had radios to communicate on Pal800. It was quite an unusual way of delivering information to the media. I only ever heard it once or twice and I seem to recall it was a major incident. Not sure if it is still used in that way.

Has anybody identified any more forestry talkgroups. Currently there is only 1 talkgroup identified. It's 27827. I believe this corresponds with vhf channel Ch.27 Andrews. i think the talkgroups corresponds directly with the vhf channel number. For example following this idea would make 27801 would be SCFC Statewide Tac 1. I know this may not be correct. i am currently using my scanner to try and see how the forestry talkgroups are laid out. i mainly want to identify the SCFC Law Enforcement talkgroups but also want to identify the regular use talkgroups. Thanks, Noah.
