Amen. About time to drop encryption.

Encryption is slowly taking an honest man's hobby and listening enjoyment away

I hope other agencies will take note and end encryption for good.

I agree sensitive information like Bomb, Hostage and other sensitive communications needs encryption.

But give me a break dispatch.

In the town of Manchester CT, the PD recently went full encrypt

Keep in mind that their channel 2 was their channel for tact & serious calls, usually encrypted fair enough

Recently The MPD & Town went after A FB group, Breaking news manchester ct with their radio folks alleging that this group broke into the encryption etc

Thing is that this group did everything above board & legal & the MPD & town Is mightily pissed off about their accurate & timely reporting about how Manchester is turning into Hartford CT in short order
