The PAPD system appears to have rebanded. Does anyone know if the LCN (channel order) remains the same, just decreasing each channel by -15 Mhz?

NYDXA - Did you get a chance to program this into your scanner last night?

I would assume that the LCN stays the same, and the only change is each freq moves down 15Mhz.
(but you know what 'they' say when you 'assume' something)

PAPD Rebanding

yes, the PAPD HAS indeed been rebanded...
all LCN's remain the same. as mentioned
correctly by W2LIE, just drop each frequency
by 15 and it works perfectly once again...

New Lineup for the PRIMARY SITE:

851.2125 LCN1
851.8125 LCN2
852.3750 LCN3
853.6000 LCN4
852.8750 LCN5
853.5500 LCN6
853.9125 LCN7

PAPD Rebanding

This is a rather clear answer, at least to me

an edacs system COULD just reband one site, but it's my guess
that everything has been rebanded, so give it a try!
the worst that can happen is you re-program the old
frequencies back in!
and don't expect to hear much if anything on WTC
it's been silent for a long time..

PS. I don't really know if it's wishful thinking on my part,
but the edacs signal seems to sound clearer, and have
a bit more punch to it....

For everyone's benefit and enjoyment...

nasa,

As KG4PSN suggests, you are on the right track. The licenses for both John F Kennedy International Airport systems (WQCZ-732, the system you show above - and WPXP445) have been modified to allow use of the reband frequencies. World Trade Center's licenses (WPWQ-420, the system you show - and WPDS-601) have also been modifed as well. I have no idea where the Holland Tunnel system info comes from; they are still using 453.800R (123.0) at that facility.

Therefore, if you are no longer hearing activity on the old frequencies, try the new ones (may not be in LCN order):

JFK conventional: 851.1125, 851.6625 (WPXP445)
JFK trunked: 852.0875, 852.625, 853.3375 (WQCZ-732)
JFK AirTrain: 852.825 (WQAE-549)

WTC: 851.075, 851.3875, 852.3375, 852.8125, 853.100 (WPWQ-420)

EDIT:
Gentlemen,

I just came back from the New Jersey subforum where I found this thread hyperlinked over there, which is understandable considering the agency in question. Therefore, for the benefit of our brothers and sisters across the River, below find the new reband frequencies for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's New Jersey based facilities:

Port Newark conventional: 851.2375, 851.7125 (also under WPXP-445)
Teterboro Airport (licensed as trunked): 851.750 (WQEE-296)
Newark Liberty International Airport conventional: 852.9125 (WPGV-310)

Actually, the PAPD page on www.n2nov.net has been updated with the rebanded freqs on the EDACS trunked system since late last night. It would be appreciated getting confirmations (thanks Adam) on the sub-systems and conventional channels on their actual usage.

I'm in OKC until Saturday morning. See you when I get back.
