The tower supporting antennas for the Paramus PD & FD's primary two way radio repeaters was destroyed during this past weekend's storm. The tower, located at the Paramus Senior Citizen's Building on Farview Avenue and Carlough Drive, was bent like a pretzel by high winds.
It is believed the back up repeater site now being used is located at the Paramus Rescue Squad Building on Carlough Drive. Paramus reportedly has the capability of using repeaters located at the US Cable Company tower located near the Fashion Center as well.
