Hey all,

Does anybody still use the 800MHz LTR system? The last time I was over there both the police and fire departments were using it. I,m going to be heading over there in the next couple of months and was wondering if I should program it in the scanner.

Also...............................................

Does anybody have any information on the airshow being held at the Mid Ohio Valley / Parkersburg Wood County Airport on Sept. 20 2006 ? I'm planning to attend and was wanting to know were I could find more information.

Thanks and have a good one

As far as the LTR at Parkersburg I hear the street dept, water and Sanitation as the most common users since the PD is back on DG high band. As for the air show I have no idea on where you can get the info for it, of course 123.7 tower, 121.7 ground and 257.8 tower maybe some use for you while you are there.

Thanks Bucko for the information.

I'll plug in the freqs fro the LTR system the next time I'm over there. As far as the airshow goes, I have those freqs.

The past couple of times I have been at the airshow, they had equipment displays from area fire, police and EMS agencies. It's neat to look at ther departments equipment and see what kind of radios they have in them. I can't wait till Sept. to go over there. I hoping to get to Parkersburg before them.

It's been a while since I been over that way. Looking forward to the trip.

Again thanks for the information

The Wood County website refers you to the www.flymov.com (airport) site, but there's no info on the site yet for the September show.

Here's an email contact for one of the airport reps, maybe she can give you more info:

Thanks Vern for the information. I'll check it out and maybe even make a couple of phone calls.

The encrypted messages you are hearing ar probably coming form the Vinton County Sheriffs Dept. in Mc Arthur, Ohio.

They are now on that frequency and encrypt messages they don't want the public to hear.

They use a PL Tone of 141.3 on that freq.

I don't know if that freq would be able to reach over to the Wood County / Parkersburg area but thats the only agency I know that has encryption on that freq.
