PFD on air now testing
They are having problems with the Johnson p-25 radios again.
here we go again.....

I hope no ones life is endangered by the lack of communications.

The old LTR system works great but -"they spent the money and they feel like they have to use the new system".

I HOPE THEY STAY THAT WAY!

p25 is for the birds!!! it seems like on every digital system, users quite often have to "reset" their radios because their transmissions are digitally garbled . (like you said, hopefully not in a life threat sit)

I don't get why all these agencies have to spend our monies to replace stuff that doesn't replacing... yet when something needs replaced, it gets neglected.

hasn't this been going on for like a good while now?

Parkersburg Fire P25

I was Told From A Couple of Volunteer Firefighter Buddies Of mine That Parkersburg Fire Was Going Back To UHF Do To The Fact Of Not Being Able To Communicate With Other Agencies . P25 Is Not The Answer
Considering There have been 22 Fireman Killed Because Of Lack Of Communications. Parkersburg Is not big Enough For Digital Anyway. Let Alone 800Mhz System Which The Public Works Department Uses.

Not necessarily. Several companies, including Kenwood, now have APCO P-25 radios that will work with the WVIRP system.
