Does anyone know what systems Cleveland Communication usually uses?

Police Commander George Balasko, the property evidence facility manager and radio system administrator, said an updated system has been on his radar for roughly the last decade.

“The current system is about roughly 12 years old and we can’t even update it,” he said.

“It’s been running continuously for that long, which in the electronics world is a fantastic return on investment.”

Safety Director Bob Coury said that in layman’s terms, Cleveland Communications will host the radio server with processing power.

“One of the additional advantages that provides us is, if there are any equipment failures with regard to that server, Cleveland Communications will have to replace, repair or whatever at their expense,” he said.

If approved, the eight-year contract with Cleveland Communications ranges from a $272,000 to $317,000 annual cost, which will be paid for out of the communication center budget.

That includes 120 portable radios and 35 mobile radios.

I believe Parma has been on cleveland communications system for years. Just updating equipment?

Unless they sold it to Cleveland Communications, Parma has their own system. However I would not be surprised at all if they get rid of their core and tie their site(s) into a Cleveland Communications core. Fiscally it would make sense.

However…. has anyone actually identified a standalone Cleveland Communications system? If it’s one of those being used by another public safety agency, we may need to rename a system in the database.

The "5-city" system in Avon is technically owned by CleComm. They lease it to the cities involved-according to a release the county sent out a number of months ago...
Yeah, Parma has been CleComm since before it was CleComm. It was still Cleveland Mobile Radio when they put in one of the first 5 EDACS systems in the country.

Cleveland Communications was never Cleveland Mobile Radio. The owner, Cliff Bade (SK) worked at CMR before starting Cleveland Communications.

Parma is looking at switching from a customer owned VIDA core to a hosted one.

The 5-city (Avon) system has used a hosted core since launch.

With the upgrade wonder if staying with same type of system P25 Phase 1 or if they will start using Phase 2.
Hopefully not the dreaded E

273 is the correct TG
Nothing has changed for several years on the system as far as parma.
Simulcast distortion usually is not a issue with parma.
If using auto error rate might want to try manually around 7 that works great on my 436hp
