I was reading in the NJ Star Ledger (Page 28, 12/15/04) an article in reference to Parsippany's radio system
"...the high cost of technology, plus outfitting all four emergency squads with radios and pagers will require the town to add another $550,000 to the $1.2 million it had bonded for the new communication system....dead spots in the hilly, 25 square mile township will be eliminated with a system of signal-boosting repeaters and in addition to emergency squads, the six fire districts, as well as all township public works, recreation, and shade tree departments will be tied into the system, along with police."
Anyone know if they're switching to a Motorola trunked system or a UHF system that will be compatible with the new Morris Co. system? I see that some of the FD & EMS have UHF frequencies licensed.
