Well it appears Pasco Sheriffs are back to fully encrypted. Interestingly enough this is right after they just had a deputy involved shooting death.
I was wondering why it was so quiet today. It was open last night, and they were very busy, actually pulling people over. Hopefully it’s just temporary

As of right now, Automated Dispatch is coming in great, and I am noticing oddly enough Fire Dispatch 3 is still clear dispatcher side only.
Not sure what area dispatch 3 is for, Definitely not west Pasco, possibly central or east

Fire dispatch 3 now fully encrypted too. I think it's safe to say the radio techs or someone from a Pasco agency is watching this thread. Explains maybe why they chose to encrypt again after all the recent updates to the Sheriff database

6:45PM Hearing Fire Dispatch in the clear (dispatcher only), all dispatch channels
I noticed that yesterday but decided not to say anything. Unfortunately I have came to the conclusion that there’s a very good chance that the county is watching this thread, so the less said, the better, sadly.

“Oh they can hear this, encrypt it”.

I emailed my County Commissioner Starkey , her aide responded back quickly and said that the Sheriff is an elected official and I will have to contact him which I have in the past.

Unfortunately she didn't understand the point of my email in that the County owns the system not the Sheriff, thus they should make or force changes at least on fire rescue side regarding encryption and they should also dictate what is and is not open including Sheriffs talkgroups.

They should not forget we the citizens are the ones who paid for this system.I encourage all of you who reside in Pasco to let your commissioners and the Sheriff know how you feel.

I emailed as well, doesn’t hurt to do so. Do I think it will get anywhere, probably not. Unfortunately most in the county is incompetent and never know what’s going on or seem to even understand what they own. I’ve had several issues with just getting basic answers to questions. Been ran through the loop and charged money just for basic public record requests. It’s ridiculous and no other county around acts like this. I wish more would fight for what they pay for other than just say “oh well” and move on.

Automated Dispatch is working on P25 (voice isn't that great)
I started using that, it’s horrible in my opinion, way overly loud and the tones don’t work a lot of times. But P25 is known for that which is probably why they have kept the EDACS for paging.

Yup, unfortunately that's all we got! Hillsborough's Auto Dispatch sounds great however.
