Hi all,

I am traveling through the NW corner of Mohave County on I-15 enroute to Las Vegas in early June for my Son's wedding. Everything in the RRDB for the county shows the southern end of the county. I am looking mainly for FD/EMS traffic, but also like to listen the USFS, SO/PD, and state PD traffic on occasion.

I have a PRO-2096, any freqs or files would be greatly appreciated!!!

TIA
Steve

I saved an old post which has a little info for AZ. I can't find the link of where on RR it came from though.

Here are the frequencies that I listen to when I drive from LA to Vegas:

From San Bernardino County Line to Stateline Nevada:

CHP: 42.56 42.72 154.905
Fire Department:
Desert: 154.070 154.205 154.325 151.145 156.075
Desert Ambulance: 155.280
Mercy Air: 155.22 131.675
Fire Repeaters:
868.4125 868.9375 867.8625 868.1375
BLM Fire: 166.375 166.4875 166.75 167.95
Death Valley Park: 170.1
Mojave National Preserve: 171.75

Once in Nevada:
154.34 155.4 154.37 158.94 453.95 462.975 154.4 154.92

I would also recommend, on July 4th Weekend, that you take the NB 15 to
the Baker offramp, exit, and then from there, take CA 127 toward death
valley to Tecopa Hot Springs Road. Turn Right/East, and follow that for
about 30 miles to Nevada Hwy 160. Turn Right, and take that 30 miles to
the I-15/NV160 interchange (Silverton Hotel), then the last 5 miles
into Vegas. This is the fastest way to Vegas on a busy day, as CA127
and NV160 are deserted roads, and you will have very little traffic on
the last 2 hours into vegas.

Try 460.475 for Arizona DPS and 155.670 for St George PD. Most of that 20 minute drive through Arizona is in the Virgin River Gorge, so don't expect to hear much else. Once in Nevada, Mesquite PD is on 154.845 (used voice inversion last time I was there) and Mesquite FD on 154.415. I would also program LVMPD Rural Disp on 158.850.

Thanks for the response, I do realize that it's a very short time in AZ., but coming from CO Springs, that is the 12 or 13 Hr mark in my drive and I am thinking about crashing in Littlefield for a few hours.

155.910 is the Mohave SO channel in the AZ strip. They do patrol I-15 in the Virgin River Gorge on occasion but mostly on old highway 91 that runs through Beaver Dam. Beaver Dam Fire District, which is the AZ Strip including Littlefield, Desert Springs, Scenic and Beaver Dam proper, is 155.385. Also plug in 155.625 which is the UHP channel for Virgin. They work in concert with AZDPS and sometimes share the channel with Utah.
If you're gonna have the SGPD channel you better have the channel for both Hurricane and Washington City PD (155.610) and the Washington County S.O (155.430) which also is the channel for the smaller PDs in the area (Santa Clara, Ivins, Leeds, etc) and the NSRS site listed as St. George under NV DB.

Hope this helps.

Just an FYI: UCAN is expanding into Washington County (St. George area) and in the near future their radio traffic will most likely migrate over to that system for sure.

Steve,
If your gonna stay in that area...I would HIGHLY recomend you drive 8 more miles up the road and stay in Mesquite. There is NOTHING in Beaver Dam/Littlefield except the Dam Bar. No other services. No Hotels. While Beaver Dam is definately not a high crime area, the Dam Bar is kinda a shady place. There is plenty of food options, gas, and hotels if your getting outta the car!
