Copied from easy to read manual.


Set Password/Clear Scanner Password Sets a power-on password. You can use up to 8 upper/lowercase letters, special characters, and/or numbers.
Note: You need the EZ Scan software to clear the password.
Scanner (set only) Use or in the main menu to select and press SEL or to edit.
Press or to select the first character, then to move the cursor and select the second character. Repeat for up to 8 characters.
Press SEL to save and exit.
Software (clear only) Scanner/SD Card (Menu) > Clear Scanner Password.
