So I'll try to word this the best I can.. I have attached a picture below for reference.
Voice paging for our VFD is done by phone line, connected to a CSI Micropatch 9800D. Dispatcher calls a phone number, enters a code which then sets off the pre-programmed tones followed by whatever they spit out and it transmits it over the connected VHF radio to our pagers.
Last year we switched our primary operations over to trunked P25 but miss hearing the pages over our radios. Due to staffing and perhaps lack of equipment, our dispatch center cannot/will not dispatch us over P25 in addition to over the phone. So we'd like to hard patch these systems together so we can hear voice pages on our trunked P25 Ops talkgroup. We only need 1 way traffic if that's possible. We do not need P25 audio passed over VHF but not a huge deal if it cannot be avoided.
I am unsure of any (additional) equipment we would need. Pictured below is what our base station consists of. It's only function is for voice paging, nothing else. The CPI box is still wired in, although I do not believe it is used for anything to my knowledge. It was just never removed and even the old guys around have no idea what it was ever used for.
