i have always been currious about this . what is the diffrence ?
i want to think patrol borough is as the name is regular day to day patrol .
if thats the case what are the precinct channels used for ?

Boro channels used to get a lot more work but cell phones get used now. If there is a parade in a boro besides manhattan, the boro channel may be utilized. Boro details use the boro channel. For PBBX you will hear the Bronx Zoo detail and in the summer months the orchard beach detail.

Precinct channels are for day to day 911 jobs. Boro channels are like an area wide tac channel.
The boro channels will have a dispatcher assigned to it when there is a boro wide detail.
