I am located 30 miles south of Richmond, Va. Tuning 406-420 mhz. this morning I received a trs control channel on 412.0500 mhz. Rotating my antenna yagi arrays the best reception was NNE from my location. Trunktracker 3.8.3 ided the system as 2305 and a CT of 128.57 hz. Guessing it might be a Md. trs I spot checked the Md. RR database for military and federal trs and got a match on Pax River. However instead of 400 mhz. trs frequencies displaying, 4 800 mhz. ones displayed during the period I monitored. They were: 860.5125(V), 864.3125(V), 866.2125(C) and 866.9125(V).

I saw no mention in the RR database of it being a Motorola dual band controlled trs such as Ft. Lee, Va., Hopewell, Va. and Naval Base Norfolk share.

Anyone have an info on this?

I used the FCC search tools on the database; the first 2 freqs come up as being registered to Nextel, 866.2125 is registered to the Montgomery county TRS, and 866.9125 is registered to both the Calvert and Frederick TRSs

If memory serves, someone reported that Pax has both a 400 and 380 mhz TRS - at least the 400 Mhz one is detailed here....

I don't believe the 380 one has been tracked down as yet 73 Mike

Band conditions have deteriorated now and the CC channel is noisy in and out. Something appears to be happening on the 800 mhz. side. Tnx. Just curious.

The 380mhz site has been documented as much as it currently can be. All I have for it is the system ID, WACN and a single control channel. I can't vouch for the voice channels in the database. http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=4699

As far as the 800mhz freqs displaying, I don't know why that is other than maybe a weak signal. I've had the same thing happen with the USNA JNCR site.

The Navy sites of the JNCR are the last to become active. The USNA site became active earlier this year. The NNMC in Bethesda just started being used last week. The Navy Yard police started using the system via the Bolling AFB site sometime in between. That still leaves Indian Head, Dahlgren and Pax to come online.
