Interesting question - I didn't even know they had one.

While not as up to date as could be, we have 2 sources of freq info - maybe conflicting and overlapping, but it's all we have.

Patuxent River Complex - The RadioReference Wiki

Naval Air Station Patuxent River Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Of particular interest would be whether Pax has moved to the 380 mhz trunks as Andrews has.

If someone were to want to put up a page like we did for the JSOH, that would be a useful tool for other Southern Md. (and others traveling there to see the show) scannists...(hint hint) 73 Mike

I'd really like to know if the 380 system is in use. The times I've been down there during the day it was just a control channel. I have yet to receive it via ducting this year and usually when I do it's late at night or early morning when there would be little to no activity anyways. I think there may be some good ducting tonight.

Indian Head has finally come online. I'm going to start a separate thread for that.

It's still just a control channel. Some political issues and some funding issues are holding it back for now.

PAX RIver Air show frequencies

I watched the air show from the Patuxent River in a boat. I highly recommend this method Vs physically attending (if for no other reason you can see the lovelies on the boats 'expressing' themselves as the planes flew directly overhead :)

The usual suspects on the Trunked System (See the Database). Also, Talk Groups 1712, 816, 80 all had air show activity on them (I have not heard them in use before and I frequently monitor the system).

One of the statewide conventional 800 MHZ frequencies was used to link back to the Emergency Operations Center but I can’t recall which one it was.

The following UHF air frequencies had Blue Angles air to air traffic on them:
275.35
284.25
346.5
340.2
336.5
305.5

Communication Cart frequencies:
142.61
139.81

Was this the Pax River 400 mhz system? I'm going to build a wiki article for both the Pax River and Ocean City airshows....those 3 talkgroups don't show up there...73 Mike

Hey Mike. Yes, it was on the PAX 400 MHZ trunked system. They first showed up on my trunked software analyzer program a few days before the show. After I plugged them in my scanner, they were active.
