PC Cable for BC996T

Just about ready to order a BC996T...

I have a couple of questions regarding the programming cables.

1) What is the length of the Serial PC Cable included with the radio?
2) What is the length of the USB-1 Optional Cable?

#1 Approx. four feet. It does connect to the front beneath the Scroll Control/Function knob.

Sure, a USB extension cable will work just fine! Or, if you have a RS232 serial port on your PC, then you can use the DB9 serial port on the back of the scanner with either a null-modem cable, or null-modem adapter on a regular serial cable. Then you can go hundreds of feet!
