PCR-1500 & Windows Vista

I was wondering if anyone is running PCR-1500 & Windows Vista? If so, any problems?

Ok, I just decide to go pick one up today and it works perfect on my Gateway windows Vista laptop. I was able to install the drivers with no problem. I haven't tried to run the audio through the laptop speakers yet.

What a great receiver! Mine really seems to kick butt on HF with just the stock antenna. I think I might have to get the R2500 now too.

I wonder if one of the old 100 models on ebay for $70 would work with vista. I have a new toshiba with vista home premium.

Ok, I got the 1500 to play through my computer speakers through the USB port on my Vista laptop.

mancow: i was wondering the same. thinking of getting one of those pcr-100 and use it with my new toshiba laptop also with home premium. waiting for vista upgrade cd. would be great to have for trips.

I know this is a little off topic

I noticed several of you are talking about Toshiba laptops. Do you happen to know if Toshiba is offering free Vista upgrades for laptops purchased around Christmas time? I know HP did. A HAM buddy of mine got a Toshiba for Christmas.

i purchased a toshiba a105-s4384 before christmas and it was vista capable. the place that i purchased it gives you all the details about receiving the upgrade and i only had to pay shipping. still waiting for it since they just started shipping them. the toshiba has to be vista capable to do the upgrade. i would call toshiba at 1-800-457-7777 and ask them about the laptop your friend purchased. good luck.
