You might try OpenOffice (its free), it will open and save Excel format files and all the others like csv. I havn't done anything with MCH files, just trying to save you some money before buying Excel.

The freeware Home » LibreOffice is another alternative. Depending upon what you read and who you believe, OpenOffice has been cast adrift and some developers have migrated to LibreOffice. I've used both... will never return to the bloated MS Office... and I've been using Libre for about almost two years now.;

it's around 30$ and it's compatable with MCH editor
I had tried differnt number of apps that didnt seam to
work, as in when I import CSV into MCH editor after working in one of the other Spreadsheet aps there is nothing ther.. the MCH editor is blank.. The Apps I tried was Lotus Symphony, Open Office and
Libre Office..
The only two that work is Kingsoft Spreadsheets and Microsoft

pcr2500 loading *.csv files

I have been importing happily been using Microsoft Excel 1997 for files and the CSV's . But I am battling with a file that has 80 Channels and when I click on import nothing happens except an error message comes up. I am going to try a lesser number of channels to see if that will work. It will be great if Gommert does a program, his are my favorites.

There are many varieties of csv files. Can you open a working file with a text editor to see what the spaces and separators really are? Sometimes you have to go through a real performance to get the file in exactly the right format for the radio database to recognise. Some want commas, some want semicolons, some want the right number of characters per section etc etc!

CSV file problem importing into PCR2500

Thank you for the reply with suggestions.

I am happy now, my wife showed me the error of my ways. What I had wrong was that I had the frequency column formatted as text, after that was changed to number it imported happily

I wasted days trying to get it in to the Icom Program
