PCR100/PCR1000 Palm Pilot control

Hi all
I bought a Palm IIIc on EBay and got it controlling my PCR100 (although it won't work with my PCR1000 for some reason).

Does anyone know the highest Palm that will work with the Palm PCR control program? The IIIc is way too slow (scan rates are slow) and it tends to become unresponsive when the radio is actually receiving. I suspect this is because, again, the Palm is just too slow. Anyone know which newer Palms will work?

You might want to look at going to a tiny Libretto laptop.
I went down the same path you are going, and could never really get a Palmpilot working really working well. It worked, but in the end the display was too small and too dark (and too slow).
I then got a tiny Libretto laptop and put Probe1K on it.
It is awesome and as been running 24/7 for almost 2 years now.

If I remember correctly, Probe1K does not work with the PCR-100, but I could be wrong.
It sure is great for the PCR-1000!
