Hi all... anyone have any tips for scanning PCWIN in the north Tucson area? We're staying at the Westin La Paloma resort, and I have Simulcast A programmed, which seems to be geographically the closest site, but can't pick up a control channel. Yep, tried ATT and the other usual tricks with a WS-1088, but no joy.

Thanks!

Try programming the Mt. Bigalow site, or Keystone site to see if you can hear a control channel.

Your up on a hill you should be able to pick up one of the control channels

From Midtown we can hear 853.9, 853.925, 852.0125, 851.3625

If you can't hear Simulcast A, try Simulcast B or Simulcast North. This will give you the best opportunity to hear all of the entities on PCWIN. But, it may just be you are in a hole :(

Mt Bigelow is very restricted on what you will hear on that site due to the low number of frequencies, many entities on PCWIN are blocked from the site.

The other stand alone sites provide mixed entities based upon the site.

Thanks guys... I tried all other primary and alternate control channels, no joy. I can hear on Simulcast A and B that there's a control channel there, just not enough signal to decode it. Wish I would have brought my RS 800 MHz antenna... that might just have made the difference. Oh well, next time!
