I want to program the police side into my 396t. I am unsure of what system type to select?? I have the ARC 396 PRO software. Any suggestions would be great

I'm afraid you got it backwards, Dewey. The cops are on the 460 mhz side - the fire is on 800.

amickey, to hear the DC police, you will need to make sure that you set their freqs up as a UHF trunk, using 2 different offsets, as shown here (just click on the blue text- it's a JPEG of ARC396 with the offsets and tables set up)

Mike... I truly thank you!!! Too much on my plate and trying to answer from memory while at work and not with my resources (remember the 396 & 96 JPGs are mine).

Amickey1979... I sincerely apologize for the error, Mike (ka3jjz) is absolutely right (Type II UHF).

And those JPEGs are worth their weight in gold, Dewey. There are only a few systems in this area that need a setup like that, so having them stored in the wiki for future reference is a vital contribution to the cause. No sweat. 73s Mike
