• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hey all. New to Hytera
After searching around a bit I'm still scratching my head a bit over what CPS i actually need. I see there is a version still available on Gigparts, and one available on a certain auction site. The "auction site" software listing notes models with all "i" suffixes in the model number. I am familiar with Moto XPRs and have successfully hex-edited and updated units before so I'm not new to the DMR/Commercial radio world but just new to Hytera in particular. Figured it would make a neat little hot spot radio for around the house.

"Auction site" PD362 I picked up:
Back label: PD362-00000000-N00000-Uc-0-D
Menu/radio info: Model name PD362
Firmware Ver: a1.01.02.023
Baseband Ver: V2.01.01CF

I gathered enough to figure out I don't have an"i" version, but just trying to go from there.
Many thanks

i versions happen after upgrading firmware to version 9, it's not anything physical.

Current CPS is v2.05.19.007.US.NA2, firmware is PD3_V2.06.04.502(V1.06.02.501)

Thank you.
I now have installed the software and not getting much further. Getting the "no communcations with radio" message when I try to read the radio. Both computers recognize the prolific USB to serial driver (and my other USB/serial/prolific drivers still function correctly). The CPS sees ComPort 3 (the cable) but getting nada into or out of the radio. Hopefully the radio doesn't have a trashed USB port, but I wouldn't think so as it charges fine. I'm leaning towards some sort of firmware/CPS mismatch maybe. Again I don't know the ins and outs of what Hytera CPS expects.
I do have a firmware uplift application, but again the CPS sees the cable/comport but not able to communicate with the radio.

I don't have a 362 on hand to test until next week. This info is from a code plug I save in January.
radio data version D2.06.01.005
firmware V2.06.04.502
baseband firmware V2.01.05D2_A

Run the firmware update, I'll put a link to it in a PM. I bet that will clear the problem.
