I am trying to figure out how to decode PDW messages using my Icom 7100 ham radio. The radio has various data ports in the back. I haven't been able to find any documentation on where the discriminator tap would be (if any exists)... Has anyone accomplished this yet?

I've always used a Signalink USB to connect an amateur radio to a computer for encode/decode purposes. It has always worked well.

If you want to build your own, you can see they use the ACC connector to get their connectivity.

The 'packet data' connections will give a clean audio signal suitable for use with PDW (even the normal; speaker/headphone outputs will likley work with PDW).
Check the manual for the pin assignments for connecting to a TNC/PC - Icom are considerably better at writing manuals for their products than bearcrap ;)

(is this really "Software Defined Radio"?)
