I'm hearing many radio checks on PRP TSS TG right now, and a few mins ago, the dispatcher came on and advised all units to head to the substation as the B Com (or V Com) changeover would be occurring in 10 minutes.
Edit: Update: Looks like they have a bad radio at either the main site, or one of the remote receiver sites.
Edit: I enabled Unit ID on my scanner, and it's the same radio each time, probably radio repair. A few of the units have also been coming in mega static, almost as if they are off frequency slightly.
Edit: A dispatcher on another nonPolice TG announced that there would be an emergency radio maintenance, and the system would be down for 2 minutes.
Edit: 867.6875 seems to be the noisy frequency. Possibly a repeater switch out...pure speculation at this point. Lots of activity on TSS Secure.
Edit: More keying on PRP Checks 1 as they try and isolate the issue.
Edit: They found the bad channel, and are attempting adjustment on the offending channel. Issue could be with one of the remote receiver sites as they are turning them off and on one by one.
Edit: They have narrowed it down to the digitac comparator unit. They bypassed it and the issue went away, and once they connected it the issue recurred.
Edit: I'm going to bed. As interesting as this is, I have a 9-5
