Pegasus Problem

Pegasus had just returned from Page Memorial to UVa with a patient. When they attempted to depart UVA Hospital back to the CHO airport, I heard them report to MedComm that they had returned to the pad. MedComm said yeah, we saw you. Pegasus then asked MedComm to call their mechanic. As you can see from the picture, it must have been a problem with the tail rotor. Sounds like that was a close call!

P.S. I feel sorry for the mechanic, it was about 93 degrees this afternoon in the shade.

Bad day for helicopters in our region. A MedStar helicopter crashed on the grounds of the Soldiers and Airmens Home near the MedStar Hospital center approx 1655 hrs. Sounds like it crashed in an open area and there are injuries. There were 4 souls on board including a patient.
