The idea of a Portland area tower for MSCOMMNET would be great for me. Currently my best option from Cape Elizabeth is Ossipee Mountain which is a struggle for my portables unless I put them in just the right spot. Does any one have any more info on this?

Just as an FYI only three of the frequencies are actually used. Canadian Pacific (d/b/a Soo Line in the U.S., who is owner of CM&Q) commonly files for the whole channel plan even if a frequency therein will never be used on a route. And on the other hand, in typical railway fashion, the RTC Channel for the Canadian side west of Boundary is also available on the Holeb and Jackman towers, but is unlicensed and not used.
