I noted the following pending NCHP trunking site licenses while looking for something else on the FCC database:

Mecklenberg Co - Huntersville / Babe Stillwell Farm Road

- 866.075
- 866.550
- 867.550
- 867.9875
- 868.2125
- 868.4125
- 868.7625

Iredell Co - Mooresville / Charlotte Highway

- 866.200
- 867.1625
- 867.400
- 867.950
- 868.8875

Union Co - Monroe / Fowler-Secrest Road (at the Hwy Patrol center)

- 856.9375
- 858.9375
- 859.9375
- 860.9375
- 868.325

(Union Co was previously licensed for a trunked system on 856-860.9375, but it was never constructed)

Cleveland Co - Shelby / Washington St (co-located with city TRS)

- 866.300
- 866.800
- 867.300
- 867.750
- 868.9125

The Shelby site is a water tank. The county is also licensed to construct and operate a trunking site at the water tank, but no construction has taken place due to lack of $$$.

Shelby has proposed constructing a 300-foot tower closer to the downtown area, where their police department is located, but local residents are opposing it.

The city and county also are licensed for three other shared trunking sites around the county, but I haven't seen any information that any of those sites are operational for the city or county.

Besides the above pending licenses, there are currently pending licenses for NCHP trunking sites in Buncombe, Macon, Cherokee, Cumberland and Duplin Counties.

And there will be more to come as the system grows and expands with succeeding grants.

The pending SHP trunked license for Mooresville in Iredell County appears to be at Mooresville's new tower site. This should at least help with I77 coverage in conjunction with the Barium Springs site.
