Last fall, I was up there and was hearing traffic on some of the athletic dept UHF freqs and the ITS repeaters. Anyone local may want to keep an ear on them to see if they are still in use. With the rollout of the new digital system, some users may migrate but I can't imagine all users will be on the new system.

Chris, from what I understand all the old UHF systems have been depreciated and PSU is running everything off their 800 TRS node

The RR database certainly depicts a shutdown 800 analog trunked system but every day I see the old system still in use. I only once saw two OPP men with xts2500s. I never saw them since. I still consistently see OPP, housing, etc on their old radios (ht-1000s and smaller motorolas). Based on the antennas and TPT before each transmission, I believe it is still the 800 analog trunked system. I think we should reflect that in the database on this site. I'm on spring break but next week I'll be setting up a scanner to monitor just the old system and the Ford Building P25 site on wildcard. I'll let you know what all has migrated to the new P25.

Twister_2 the OPP is still on their UHF system. The OPP radio system uses MCD signaling so that is why you heard the pre-transmit tone.

I have been listening to the OPP system the last few weeks and have heard all the normal traffic (electricians, sanitation, CCS, etc, etc) that the system has always had. From what I was told they have no intent on going to the new p25 system.

The plug was pulled on the 800 analog trunked system something like a year ago. Try to find the analog control channels, you won't. No control channel no trunking system

Using an analog scanner and not having much time to spend, I can say 461.875, 461.6125, and 460.6125 were used at Penn State's spring football game.
