Using a HP-1 and a BC-396 to monitor the Peoria AZ police dept. Receive all transmissions on A1 Peoria Dispatch but when they switch to another talk group such as A5 Car to Car I receive nothing. When they change talk groups are they rolling over to another system?

A-1 Dispatch is clear, and can be heard on Simulcast G and the White Tanks IR full time, as well as on the Towers Mtn IR when a unit affiliates. There's also the Quintero IR, which is a gated community off Carefree Highway, west of Lake Pleasant.

A-2 Info, A-3 Chase/Hot, A-5 Car-to-Car, A-7 Supervisors, A-8 and A-9 Tactical, and A-10 and A-11 Investigators, are all encrypted. If you have the Uniden radios, even if you have them programmed in, the Uniden circuitry skips over encrypted talkgroups and you'll never hear anything.

A-4 Events, and A-6 Metro are clear. I think A-4 is only on Simulcast G, so multipath interference issues may affect your reception of it. It's used for traffic control during CCV services (the big church at 67th Ave and Happy Valley Rd), as well as during spring training games and other events at the Peoria stadium. I'm guessing that A-6 will roam to (almost) any simulcast or IR as needed for metrowide coverage.

B- and C-deck talkgroups follow the same general layout as A-deck, but for the most part, only the encrypted tactical/investigation talkgroups are currently used. Eventually, the city is supposed to be divided into 3 precincts or sectors or whathaveyou, and one deck will be assigned to each. But that's sometime down the road.

I've never heard B-13 Events, C-13 Events, A-16 Citywide, B-16 Citywide or C-16 EOC in use.

The missing channels not in the database are:
A-12 769.05625 National 1 (Itinerant)
A-13 866.0125 (156.7Hz) I-Call repeater
A-14 855.0125 (146.2Hz) Backup A repeater
A-15 855.0125 (146.2Hz) Backup A simplex

B-12 769.06875 National 2 (Itinerant)
B-14 855.7125 (162.2Hz) Backup B repeater
B-15 855.7125 (162.2Hz) BCkup B simplex

C-12 774.99375 National 3 (Itinerant)
C-14 855.4625 (127.3Hz) Backup C repeater
C-15 855.4625 (127.3Hz) Backup C simplex

D-deck has a handful of encrypted talkgroups. I don't know what they are.

E-deck has 16 of the 41 city services talkgroups.

F-deck is Glendale PD.

G- and H-decks are the RWC Interoperability talkgroups, G-deck being clear and H-deck being encrypted.

I-deck is: 866.0125 simplex (1) & repeater (2); 8TAC-1 through 8TAC-5 simplex (3-7); 8TAC-1 through 8TAC-5 repeater (8-12); then possibly the 4 "SPTAC" frequencies of: 765.15625, 765.21875, 765.65625 and 765.71875 (channels 13-16).

I don't know if they have anything above I-deck.
