On the Peoria County database page, under the Peoria (City) section, the entry:

158.00000 WXL707MPeo Law RF4Sheriff: Remote Links

is incorrect, as 158.000 is not on the WXL707 license. Valid candidates from the license appear to be 158.73, 158.79, and 158.85. Would someone nearby give a listen?

Actually it does appear on the license.

That said, it is also unlikely that that is a correct frequency as it is not a normally allocated channel.

Oops! I missed it. :(

Also note the appearance of 85.000 MHz (in the middle of TV channel 6), the only such occurrence in the ULS.

Yep! My guess is that the license was supposed to read 158.850 and a return got in there by mistake.

The RR database is supposed to be verified freqs only, sometimes these things get in by mistake.

I've been auditing VHF high band entries for invalid channels and unfortunately have found about 75 problems so far. I reported the ~20 most obvious typos today, and am posting to local forums about some others. I'll probably want to enlist some help investigating the rest.

I have the feeling that a lot of input frequencies for high-band repeaters have come from licenses, not OTA reports.

Of course input frequencies for repeaters mostly come from licenses. Rarely does somebody actually monitor the input freq let alone submit. Not relevant really from the standpoint that scanners only need be concerned about the repeater output. I know if somebody submits to me "Podunk PD 460.075 repeater", I'm going to add 460.075 / 465.075 pair without anybody confirming the input. Little different with VHF though, I get it, since it's not a simple mhz split. But I'd do the same on a VHF repeater submission. Most admins would.

It's a good chance that the VHF isn't even used anymore for anything police related

I just checked on this. I'm hearing Peoria County Sherriff's Department on 158.730. It is simulcasting the SC TG 6701, as I've heard both PCSD and Chillicothe PD.
BTW, that's how it is listed in the database.
Peoria City is still simulcasting SC TG 6651 on UHF 460.050 as well.
This is as of 1330 hrs on 10/28/2021.

Looks like the Peoria city VHF stuff has been removed from the DB. FWIW, looking at the WXL707 license and as suggested above by @N9JIG, it makes sense that the 158.0 and 85.0 rows were meant to be 158.85 for location 5, given the pattern of the rest of the license.

We still have all four Peoria County Sheriff repeaters (F1, F2, F4, F5) in service as a backup to Starcom. Patrol cars still have VHF radios for those channels as well as IREACH, ISPERN 1, ISPERN 2, ISPERN 3, and ISPERN 4. The ISPERN 3 and ISPERN 4 repeaters are primarily used as backups for Peoria City Police. ISPERN 2 remains a simplex channel and is used every day by Peoria City Police.
Peoria City Fire has VHF radios in their trucks, but primarily use them for mutual aid outside of Peoria County. You will hear them tested once in a while on the morning radio test. All fire departments in Peoria County are alerted on VHF channels.
