Is that another EDACS system I hear going away?

Harris wins - it remains to be seen if that means P25 or BrokenSky. Hopefully the former.

Link broken. I went to city.peterborough.on.ca and found agenda info from the Committee of the Whole which said no more than "Recommend awarding of the winning bid for the RFP for the Peterborough Lakeside Police Service radio system" or similar.

I would expect for a smaller agency like that it would be a P25 system of some flavour.

Did anyone catch the part about the possibility of Peterborough EMS, MNR, and OPP
using the system? <scratches head>.

I read that as they will actually have some spare radios now that could be used by outside agencies if needed. JFO operations and such perhaps. Beyond that it doesn't make much sense...

Yeah, I would imagine that there is next to no interoperability between the SmartZone and an AEGIS system.
